Carnival Breeze 6 Day Eastern Review 05/05/13 - 05/11/13

Recommended Posts

Really nice, where did you get that spreadsheet did you make it?[/QUO

I've seen these before, they are handed out on the ship like this.

It is on the Carnival "Fun Hub" which is the Home Page on the Breeze Wi-Fi. Here is a screen capture of the site.

BreezeFunHub-X3.jpg

On the right side you will see the Download Area and that brings you to the page when onboard that your can download the PDF Files on your phone, tablet, laptop.

I think this is great and all the cruise lines should have this service available. I always had it on my Note 2 or iPad during the cruise.

Best thing is it is free. If you want internet you click on Internet Access in the upper right corner.

Movies start every 30 minutes. There are usually 2 short movies that run a total of about 20 minutes.

My 5 year old loved it. I bought the unlimited pass for both of us and we got to see 3 of the movies over 2 days.

The cost is $7.95 for 1 Show or $14.95 for Unlimited during the cruise.

Day 3 Tuesday 05/07/13 Sea Day

After having breakfast in the Lido Marketplace we went to the Waterworks Splash area and spent part of the day there. The girls loved it. My 5 year old loved doing the 2 slides. I did take a quick break and ran down to Guy’s Burger Joint for “The Ringer” again. These burgers are the best. After a couple of hours the girls wanted some lunch so we went down to the Lido Market Place. My oldest also links plain pasta without anything on it. I went to Cucina Del Capitano to get a bowl of their lunch pasta with nothing on it. I also had a bowl made the way I wanted from the Pasta Bar at Cucina Del Capitano for myself.

The girls then wanted to head to Camp Carnival for the rest of the afternoon and evening so we signed them in. My oldest was all excited when she found out Fun Ship Freddy was going to make an appearance at a party around 7PM. They also had face painting there.

While the girls were having dinner at Camp Carnival we went to our table and I had Strawberry Bisque, Spicy Alligator Fritters, Broiled Maine Lobster & Jumbo Shrimp, and Warm Chocolate Melting Cake.

After dinner we enjoyed the ship and relaxed then went and got the girls.

thanks that is interesting. You would have to pay for internet to download the pdf files to your phone right? If so I wonder if these are available while still in miami where we can get internet access on our phones from our provider? Thanks

To access the Fun Hub and download the files it is free if you turn your Wi-Fi on. You can then download them on any of your devices.

While we are at sea I always put our phones on Airplane Mode and then "Only" turn on your Wi-Fi. If you don't have your phone in Airplane Mode first then turn Wi-Fi on you will get hit with roaming charges.

The Fun Hub & files are on their Intranet and then to access the Internet you click on the Internet Access in the upper right corner on their Intranet Home Page.

Fun Hub & their Intranet are Free on Wi-Fi.

Internet Access can be purchased.

So, just curious; on this itinerary the casino doesn't open until after day 2 once the Breeze leaves Key West and enters International waters?

We don't really gamble anymore and were not in the casino. I believe it was open since we should have been far enough out for it to open probably 45 minutes after sailing on Day 1.

When I sailed the Breeze in March they had put a copy of the Entertainment Schedule in the Fun Times on Embarkation day!

When you purchase the thrill theater, does your entrance load onto your card? Then do you hand your loaded card to a live person ?

No it didn't load on our cards. We received 2 tickets that we had to write our names on the back along with our cabin number.

I will be scanning the tickets and posting them.

I didn't see the Taste Bar mentioned in the Fun Times. Did you get chance to try any of the food? When and where was it?

Very nice review so far, thanks for posting! :)

Everyone keeps talking about how awesome the thrill theater is. I think I might buy the week long pass.

Did you attend any of the production shows? I haven't been to any in a few years, but would like to see one or two when I sail the Breeze in 137 days. :D If you did, how did you enjoy them? Thanks.

We were also on the May 5th sailing and had a terrific time. The ship, crew, weather, and seas were amazing. We usually sail from NYC but we would not hesitate to book the Breeze again, and probably will.

The only complaint that I have was with the Bar Waiter in the Dining Room. It appeared that once he realized I had the Soda Card he would let my glass run out and make me wait for a refill. It appeared he was avoiding me and didn't want to be bothered with getting a free refill???

I am reading through this review now and love your take on it. We had a similar experience about our bar waiter on the Valor 2 weeks ago. However, on the Dream, our bar waiter knew our sodas, even gave us cans for the room and gave us free shots glasses the last night. All goes to personalities I guess?!

Looking forward to reading more!

I believe I have a pic on my computer at the house inside also. Only issue is I was adjusting the exposure and my daughter moved so she is not clear. I will try to upload it tonight.

Do you happen to have the Camp Carnival schedule for the week for the 2-5yrs and/or 9-11yrs old? If so, and you could upload them that would be FANTASTIC!!! We will be on the Breeze in a week and a half and cannot wait!

Inside Thrill Theater

That's my 5 year old in the pic getting ready for the show.

I will try to get the Camp Carnival Schedules scanned this weekend. I have been bouncing from one side of Florida to the other the last 2 days and haven't had a chance. I also expect to be on the road most of Friday so it will probably be Saturday or Sunday by time I can scan the.

Okay, just for clarity....the funhub is free to access for up to date info on the ship? If you want internet then you click and pay?

Do you know if this is on the freedom?
