top bunk weight limit?

my brother and I were on the fascination with my cousin. my brother and I took the upper bunks lol. my brother is heavier than me and he is 240 and it held him just fine. no sounds either. these came down from the wall. (towards the end of the cruise we made a fort lmao. 29, 25 and 20 year old children lmao)

Below is the dimensions and weight limits on an upper berth on Carnival.

 

78" L x 33" W

Safety Rail - 50" L x 6" H

Weight Restriction - 250 pounds

Position - 58" off the floor; 27" below the ceiling

 

 

Nice of you to post this. I had no clue. The length & width are good to know too.

I was on the paradise 1/26/13 , There were 4 guys . One guy weight was over 260 and no problem. Have fun ,don't fall off . Scott

 

He probably started the gradual weakening...lol

 

There is a safety rail, but maybe they need a strap, too. :D ;)
