ctcruisergirl Posted July 26, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2013 We are leaving next week for the Grandeur and I just realized my husbands birth certificate is the walletcard. It does have a raised seal, but wanted to confirm the wallet one is accepted? vavasmom Posted July 27, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2013 You may have a problem - both of his parents names must be on the certificate. I don't think any wallet card will pass the rules (I know my old Virginia one will not)
chichi7 Posted July 27, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 27, 2013 Hi! My hubby has the wallet card and he sailed in Feb with my Father in law and had no problem with it. I actually have a passport and talked him into getting one for the kids and him. We went to the post office would not except his birth certificate. So we got the kids done and he had to request the long form with his parents names on it birth certificate. Then he can apply for his passport. Happy Cruising! I have been researching since posting and I am pretty sure the rumor regarding parents names rule is only when applying for passports and does not apply when using a birth certificate for cruising unless you are a minor
Cigar King Posted July 27, 2013 #6 Share Posted July 27, 2013 Why don't you eliminate the doubt and contact RCI directly and make sure what you have is acceptable. You might even have time to get what you need if it's not. Enjoy your cruise.

I called my TA and she confirmed that short wallet card is fine :)

Cigar King Posted July 28, 2013 #9 Share Posted July 28, 2013 I called my TA and she confirmed that short wallet card is fine :) If it were me, I would go to the source...is your TA going to refund your money if you can't board? BTW, I think you'll be fine, but, then again, what I think doesn't matter.
