Cruise Terminal in Piraeus, Athens

Thats a good question.

If you come in the same day your driver will certainly figure it out. If you are there a day or two early, your hotel can get that information for you. I looked at the port authority website and I couldn't see that they post that information. We have boarded many ships in Athens without knowing which terminal in advance and we did fine. You will too.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Also, your boarding docs may specify.

Thank you world citizen, on many cruises I have been able to go to the port manifest and it will tell me the berth etc. Will wait a little longer and if needed check at our hotel as we plan on spending a few days in Athens before the cruise. Joe

Sailing on the Ryndam September 28, 2013 out of Piraeus. How do I find out what terminal the ship leaves from A or B?

Appreciate any and all input.:)

According to Cruisetimetables.com there are 5 ships starting their cruises from Piraeus that day. Fortunately Ryndam is the 2nd largest! I would guess that the biggest, Ruby Princess, will be at Terminal B whilst the Ryndam and the other 3 at one of the berths served by Terminal A.

Hi JP1320 !

As i remember from my Mediteranean cruise (Niew Amsterdam), you have a short walk from the terminal to the first subway station. This is a end-of-the-line station. I took 20 minutes to walk to the train (subway) at a medium speed (3km/h).

If you want to go... like Acropolis or la Plaka, you should take this train/this line.

3 or 4 stops ahead (another 30 minutes including wait time)

So, for the maths > From ship to Acropilis > Fifty minutes from a walking point of view.

ENJOY JP1320 !

That is a great website.

One should be cognizant of the fact that even preassigned berths can be changed at nearly the last minute due to conditions at the port. This is not normally a big problem in ports since the private tour companies will quickly find out about the changes. Others going to the port will also find their ship once they get to the port :)
