Anytime Dining for Party of 7? Yes or no?

Going on the Dream in February. Friends and family. If we do Anytime Dining, will there be longer than normal waits for a party of 7? We have done it with 4 people, and have had 20-30 min waits sometimes. Because of the times in ports, we really wanted to look at this as an option, but don't want to have to wait an hour for a table. Also, does your whole party need to be there to check in, or can 2 people go get a pager and then the rest come in 10 min or so? Thanks for the help!

Just my opinion, but when we are cruising with six of us, we always choose the traditional late seating. When its just hubby and I, we always do Anytime Dining. I really think with a party of seven, your waits will be somewhat longer. It's also just so easy for the group to know dinner is every evening at a set time/table. Less stress. Less confusion.

Usually we travel at least once a year with a minimum of 8 + family members. Our experiences were always better when we had a set time for all to eat and the cruise line gave us an assigned table. Those not back in time from excursions were able to eat on Lido Deck and the family still had a meeting place for dinner.

Good Luck & have loads of fun!

We had a group of 7 with anytime on the magic in Feb. at least a 10-15 min. wait every night.....one night they gave us a pager, approx. 30 min. wait....I believe it was elegant night. We did not care for it.....for what its worth.....

Depends what time you arrive at the MDR.

When it first opens you'll have no problem, same after 7:30-8 o'clock.

Arrive between 6:15 and 7:30 prepare to wait.

I have no idea what the Dream is like, sorry...on Elation we had a party of ten, and we only had to wait one night. We waited 45 minutes because we had to have a certain waiter--the kids still miss him 9 months later.
