Clarea Posted July 28, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 28, 2013 I am sailing to Alaska in a few weeks on the Radiance. Does anyone know where the 5-7 pm drinks will be served for Diamond members? The Diamond Lounge is part of Viking Crown, deck 13, aft elevator. The typical time for the cocktail hour is 5pm to 8:30pm.
cruisenfever Posted July 28, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 28, 2013 The Diamond Lounge is part of Viking Crown, deck 13, aft elevator. The typical time for the cocktail hour is 5pm to 8:30pm. Bob, the only elevators that go up to Deck 13 on Radiance, or any of her sister ships, are the 4 exterior elevators mid-ship that face the sea. There are no aft elevators on Radiance class ships. There are no aft elevators on Radiance class ships. Thanks, good to clarify that for the OP. I think of the elevators as a forward set and an aft set, but you're right, the aft ones are closer to mid-ship.
JimAOk1945 Posted July 28, 2013 #5 Share Posted July 28, 2013 We were on the Radiance last August for a southbound Alaska cruise. It was fantastic! The ship is beautiful.
island lady Posted July 28, 2013 #6 Share Posted July 28, 2013 We were also on Radiance last August and enjoyed that lounge. It is actually much nicer than the CL (IMHO) and has a great sweeping view facing forward to enjoy the glaciers, waterfalls, and mountains....especially nice as you leave Skagway with cocktail in hand. Beautiful!!
Ashland Posted July 28, 2013 #7 Share Posted July 28, 2013 Agree. We just enjoyed it during our May 17-24..the lounge doors that lead into Starquest were opened up to give us additional seating..very nice not to have to scramble or arrive early for a seat ..Our concierge was Gazetty James.
