Paradise Cove Lunch Question

For those who have added the $6 lunch charge....what are the options?

For the $6 charge you get a choice of a hot dog, hamburger, veggie,

or chicken with snack and water or soda.

I prefer to skip the included lunch and order off their menu as they have some delicious seafood dishes.

Paradise Cove? Is this a tour with a cruise line or on your own?

On your own. Go to Paradise Cove on the web (may be under deadman's reef) and read their options. They offer a snorkel adventure and kayak adventure and .. don't remember what else.

You can either email them directly and schedule to be picked up from the pier and they will bring you back (2 different return times), or some just take a cab.

We chose to ride with them. You pay when you get their and they offer chairs, umbrellas and lockers for a fee.

Ive been there twice but always on my own.

This time I went through the website and got an email back from Barry saying it was $35 p/p which included round trip transport. Said they would pick up at 9am and return you at either 1230, 230 or 430. But then, I got another email from him that said meet at 10am for pickup...and now he's clarified that they pick up one hour after your ship docks.

You pay when you get there, so I'm not real sure how they have a clue how many people are booked...my guess would be get off the ship as quickly as possible and report to where they tell you and get in line.

Besides the confusion in the emails, I will say it is a WONDERFUL place to snorkel. Lots of coral, fish, marine life, sea turtles (if you're lucky) and you'll find sea biscuits, clam shells, and maybe even a nice conch shell that's empty if you're really lucky. The reef is very large once you get out to it.
