I think I read that too, that because of something on Lido they closed off smoking on all of Lido on Magic. Could be the same on Breeze, have to walk up one deck.

that being said, I was surprised that a cigar smoking guy walked right into the buffet on conquest smoking (yesterday or the day before at breakfast) and no one seemed to mind. It didnt smell bad, but you could for sure smell it.

I didnt hear anyone make one comment to him.

It was stated because of the new added food venues there would be no smoking on lido , but that was a myth .

the only smoking allowed on the breeze in public areas are deck 5 port side, deck 11 port side (one above the lido) and the casino (actually its possibly allowed in the nightclub but I didn't check that one out.

I also saw people smoking on the promenade along the wall with the chairs, just sitting there reading a book and smoking a cigarette. Being July we had 2500 newbie, brand new cruisers who never heard of all these rules and smoked where they wanted and I never saw anyone complaining or trying to enforce rules. Like I said maybe because it was summer and so many brand new cruisers.

The promenade -as in deck five - on the port side by the red frog pub?

Smoking is allowed on that deck and that side of the ship. the other side - where the bbq is located is non smoking...

guess those new cruisers were following the rules

Its a non smoking area.

if someone is smoking there you can point out that its non smoking - or get one of the staff to do it.

The only time I saw anyone smoking there I pointed out it was non smoking and where the smoking area was and they moved to it.

That's what I saw with my own two eyes.

This is the verbage from the Fun Times for the Breeze.

Smoking is prohibited in all guest staterooms. Guests in balcony staterooms are permitted to smoke cigarettes and cigars on their stateroom balcony. The entire Portside Lanai, Deck 5, from Fwd to Aft and Deck 11 Portside is available for smoking. Smoking is permitted in Liquid Nightclub when open, the portside of the Winner's Luck Casino Bar counter, selected tables and slot machines. Cigar and pipe smoking is permitted on the Lanai, 5 Mid, Portside. Please note all Cloud 9 Spa Staterooms & Suites are entiely smoke free, including balconies.

So you noticed people smoking on Lido and advised them to move on, what if they had told you to mind your own business

There is smoking there none the less

person. not people. I showed them where the smoking area was and they moved to it. if they hadn't I'd have left it and pointed it out to a crew member.

One person in eight days......

whereas you seems to be infering that everyone on the lido deck was smoking. Which couldn't be further from the truth.

That's correct when I was on the breeze smoking was allowed on Lido.

Went to the movies under the stars sat in those comfy seats and smokers were on both sides on deck eleven . Went down to deck ten and smokers were on one side of the ship smoking, no one requested for them to move.

Perhaps someone wrote a letter that got read by one of the big dogs in charge and put a stop to. Do ya think .
