Beach towels

Are beach towels available when/for going on shore to a beach? I found a thread from 2009 that said so, but nothing newer.

Use your O bag and put a couple of Pool towels in.

Beach Towels and (free) bottles of bottled water are distributed at the Gangway Door at each Port.

 

As Brian pointed out, after the second or third night of each cruise, Oceania will gift you with a canvas Logo-Tote bag which is just the right size for "Towel Duty for Two"

I believe the tote bag is just given to Concierge cabins and above. Ours were hanging in the closet when we arrived. I also believe some beach towels were put in the room for use ashore one day however I might have that mixed up with another line, but for sure there is no need to pack them.

Towels used to be at the gangway. But due to losses and abuse, you request them from your room steward.

No bag for all levels and blue beach towels were provided by requesting them from your steweard the night before for those going ashore. I originally thought that this was because we were on a French Polynesia cruise where everyone was taking off for water activities but this seems not to be the case.

Bag is for concierge level or above and only one per cabin, so it is a good idea to bring your own beach bag. Towels are left in the cabin and replaced by the cabin steward.
