Skier52 Posted August 5, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 5, 2013 But on the Splendida! ooopsie! lol Sorry I seem to have taken a long time answeringbut I've only just, today, got back from a 10 day cruise on MSC Opera. Any way just as you asked here are 2 "magic" images showing the location of 10165 on Splendida And closer in Hope these are sufficient for your request. If not just ask for a "closer in" image and I'll get a closer image. Pete

Skier52 Posted August 6, 2013 #7 Share Posted August 6, 2013 Hi we are looking 9089 on Divina will this be affected by the overhang. Thanks in advance. Judith 9089 is not affected by the overhang but with the sun directly ahead of the ship the shadow of the forward hump of cabins will affect it. Though saying that I would not be worried by that smalll affect considering that for half the time , on average, the sun is on the other side of the ship anyway, and as such would have no problem in staying in cabin 9089. tigger89 Posted August 6, 2013 #8 Share Posted August 6, 2013 Thanks Pete I don't think we would have much of a view from there either when you see it like that. We are looking at a cat B2 cabin are there any you would recommend there will be 3 of us in the cabin and thinking about the 14 night cruise from Miami. Skier52 Posted August 6, 2013 #9 Share Posted August 6, 2013 Thanks Pete I don't think we would have much of a view from there either when you see it like that. We are looking at a cat B2 cabin are there any you would recommend there will be 3 of us in the cabin and thinking about the 14 night cruise from Miami. Thanks Judith Based on the deck plans for after 12 april 2014 I would go for any B2 cabin on the front hump (deck 10 or 11, the forward most 21 cabins on either side of the deck) or rear hump( decks 10 - 13, the rear most 13 cabins on either side). there are a few on deck 9 but not many. They all have the 3rd/4th beds as sofa beds. Cabins with 3rd/4th bed have a white diamond on them on the deck plan Unfortunately none of the rear facing cabins on deck 10 or 11 ( with the very large balconies) have 3rd beds available Deck 13 may suffer noise from the buffet imediately above the cabins. take a good look at the deck plans and try to avoid cabins with "WHITE SPACES" across the corridor eg:- 9011/2, 9015/6/8/9 as they could be sources of disturbing noise. none of the cabins I suggest will have a problem of overhang shadow or limited fields of view. The choice may come down to how you feel about the movement of the ship as the lower down and nearer the centre has less movement, or , how you feel about being close to a lift. Some people like to be near them for limited distance to walk to them, others worry about noise from them There are about 200 cabins in the areas I suggest, I don't know if there will be price differences for the different decks under the new grading system so that may so be a factor. tigger89 Posted August 28, 2013 #14 Share Posted August 28, 2013 Sorry for the delay but i've only just got back from a fortnight in France (not a cruise) anyway here is your requested picture Pete Hi Pete Hope you enjoyed France. We have had a bit of a nightmare with our cabins we need 3 balconies together 2 for 2 people and 1 for 3 people. These cabins I asked you to show me are 2 x 2 people and 1 x 4 people. So if they put us in these cabins and someone else needs a 4 berth we would then be moved. All of the 3 berth cabins are in the inset. So they have given us 12214, 12216 and 12218 which I can see on your picture. We are just waiting on them confirming if we will have to move after the first 7 days of our cruise as we are doing the 14 night from Miami.
