Nightmare!!!

I have been doing a packing list for our trip.....its a whole 108 days away. I decided to take a nap while my little one was down since it was raining. I think i should've just did some laundry, cause I had the worst dream! It was cruise day and as I was getting ready Mike started rushing me, wouldn't give me any more time to put a couple more things in my bag. Well we got to the port and boarded super fast, must have had FTTF cause we went straight to our room. I opened my suitcase and......... I had only packed one black dress and a pair of thigh high boots! Ugh. Anyone ever have dreams like this?

Not about cruising, but 25 years out of college, I'm still having that dream that I don't remember my schedule or where my classes are and it's the end of the semester and I forgot to go to one (or more) of my classes.

 

Ive also had one that i went to Orlando for a Disney vacay and forgot to to to the parks. It's a totally typical stress dream! Like golfadj said...relax!

All the time! I will dream that I get to my cruise and forgot something major....sometimes I have no shoes, sometimes I have no underwear, sometimes no toiletries. It's my only recurring dream! Lol

The little black dress sounds nice, but a nice pair of black 'dressy' sandals woulda' been a better choice than the boots.. :o

Thigh high boots woulda' been fine.. IMHO!!:D;) I'm not fussy.. Just a 'pretty' people watcher..! :p:rolleyes:

Once, many years ago, DH and I traveled out of state to a hot air balloon festival. I was always in charge of ALL the packing but this time packed everything but my undies. Had to borrow a pair of DH's "tighty whities" till I could get to the mall the next day! Thank goodness he wasn't going "commando". The nightmare came in when the event organizer announced my dilemma to about 200 people at the closing banquet!

Too early for the cruising nightmares! :o

 

Usually mine involve missing the flight or some other thing that makes us miss the ship.

 

We put very little thought on the packing part of our vacations. We don't do packing lists or even start packing until a few hours before leaving, so I don't get packing-related nightmares, but those "missing the cruise" nightmares suck!

LOL. This really happened to me. I laid everything out and husband packed the bag.

 

I unpacked the bag to find my underwear that were stacked beneath his on the bed did not make it. I spent the first port of call underwear shopping.

 

On another cruise, my husband forgot his dress slacks. We ended up renting a tux.

ah, I've had so many nightmares about cruising. Like the above poster, mine usually involve missing the flight, forgetting passport, etc. Ugh. One of my nightmares, we had to rush to the airport in Cleveland, then we discovered we forgot our passports, and we would have missed the flight - because we live an hour away from the airport!

 

Another weird dream - the ship was haunted??? The area around the ship was even haunted. Promenade deck was so cold, we knew it was haunted. LOL

 

Luckily, though, I do have many pleasant dreams about cruising. Many involve meeting nice people and having drinks with them, and sitting out on deck enjoying sunshine. :)

Personally I think you would have a great cruise (and so would your husband ;)) if all you packed was a black dress and thigh high boots!

I think it was due to me watching pier runner videos on YouTube and feeling sorry for the ones who didn't get on the ship. I would be sick! Now how that translated to leaving all my clothes at home I don't know.....all my SO kept saying was "they have some stores, go buy you some clothes!" Yea ok.

I bet HE would! I'm sure I would be in someone's CC thread after strutting down to the lido deck for the buffet. Ha!

As long as I have my passports and meds, the rest will take care of itself.

 

Just got back from 14 days in Alaska two weeks ago. At the end of the cruise, I told my husband that I should have only packed 2 - 3 shirts for the whole trip. That way I could have just bout a new shirt in every port to wear the next day.

No underwear , dont worry many dont wear them anyway.
