anyone flown this airline recently? Thoughts? Would you use them again? I found on the internet it is #9 of the 10 best airlines in the WORLD, then when I look up reviews, they lean more toward the bad then the good.

Hi,

Iv been lucky enough to have flown many airlines around the world and now if I can I will always fly virgin Atlantic... I have found them to be really good on all the recent occasions I have flown with them and would have no prob

Em recommending them to anyone,

Don't get me wrong the food isn't 3 Michelin star but it is an airline and you are on a plane 35,000 ft in the air and you one of around 300 people needing to be feed so I feel as a chef the food is more then adequate,

Services has always been great and I have found everyone I have meet on board to be very friendly & helpful,

Regards

Tony

Have you tried airlines like Emirates and Singapor? None of the British carriers come close. I travel extensively longhaul (economy) for buiness and I would go out of my way to avoid Virgin (having liked them 18 years ago)

Flew VA last year MCO to LGW and then LHR to Capetown.

I would say depends on the product. Certainly for Business class there are better. However for the price their Premium Economy is not bad and the service and food were better than most USA carriers business.

We flew Virgin Atlantic earlier this year.

Upgraded to Premium Economy.

You get a Welcome Aboard drink, amenity kit, food served on real dishes with real cutlery.

Crew were friendly.

If Premium Economy is full, definitely go for the Extra Legroom seat...well worth it + you get to sit on the side with just 2 seats.
