Switching from A1 to A2

We were able to upgrade from our balcony cabin to an aqua class A1 cabin for only 50.00 more... In addition to having access to Blu and the Persian Gardens, it will also bump our status to Elite for our next cruise after this.

We are on the Summit, and I believe the A1's have open balconies while the A2 have covered balconies. Just wondering if anyone has successfully downgraded from an A1 to an A2?

You didn't happen to luck into one of the aft A1s did you? If so, I think they have cover. It doesn't hurt to call and ask. My guess is that if they are currently priced higher, you might not be able to do that even though it is technically a "downgrade".

As a side note, aren't a lot of the A2s under the pool deck and possibly noisy?

If you have 1130, 1133, 1138, 1140, or 1141, you need to KEEP it!! These are aft and provide sun and shade. The only drawback (or perk, as I see it) is that these cabins overlook the Sunset bar. They are mere steps away from a cold beverage!!
