pompeii Posted August 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2013 Is there an easy way to search for repositioning cruises on the Princess website? I am interested in researching them for a future trip since they offer some unique itineraries, and some of them are a pretty good deal. If you don't have to tack on crazy airfare, that is. I couldn't find a way to search for them other than to look under each ship for their individual itineraries and find the repositioning cruises. I figured there had to be a way to bring up a list? pompeii Posted August 3, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted August 3, 2013 Thanks! I guess my mistake was trying to find the list on the Princess website, instead of just googling it.
caribill Posted August 3, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 3, 2013 On the Princess web site you have the option under "Destinations" to pick Trans-Atlantic which is what most of the re-positioning cruises are. Others on the Princess site require looking at the ship. There you would find cruises from North America to Asia or Australia.
paul929207 Posted August 3, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 3, 2013 Most of the repositioning cruises occur when ships are moved from one area to another. Mostly these are ships that are in Alaska or Europe during the North American summer and moved to other places for the North American winter

Iamcruzin Posted August 3, 2013 #8 Share Posted August 3, 2013 On the Princess website go to search cruises. Scroll down the list for Departure/End Port and search the list of ports looking for the port that you want to reposition to or from. narrow the search by selecting the length of cruise days you want to sail. This will bring up all itineraries for all ships calling at that port. You can scroll through to see if there are any repositioning cruises for that port. If you can only sail a certain time of year select the months as well. Transatlantic and California Pacific Coastals found under destinations have a lot of repositioning cruises offered. Treven Posted August 4, 2013 #9 Share Posted August 4, 2013 Google "Princess repositioning cruises." I just looked this up and found there are actually quite a lot of choices. Since I'm booked up for next spring, I'll take a closer look at fall of '14.
Kamloops50 Posted August 4, 2013 #10 Share Posted August 4, 2013 Go to the Princess site and search for Grand Voyages. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Forums mobile app
rdsqrl Posted August 4, 2013 #11 Share Posted August 4, 2013 Not every repositioning cruise is a Grand Voyage. This is where having a paper brochure (the Cruise Atlas is best) is much more helpful than trying to search online. In the back cover is a colour-coded chronology of each ship's voyages, so you can easily see when the ship transitions between regions (colours): e.g., yellow for Hawaii changes to pink for Alaska.
