Confused about pre-booking Specialty Restaurants

Hi all...

Celebrity's website seems unclear on this issue (unless I just can't find the right place)...

I am Elite status sailing in EQUINOX in Dec....Aqua Class.

My question is when can I begin to book restaurant reservations online and how many can I book in advance of boarding??

Does buying a "threefor" package give one any advantages?

Does my Elite status give me any perks??

Does Aqua Class matter when it comes to pre-booking??

Thanks for the help here..

Greg

It may be a bit early, but you should be able to book them soon if they are not already open for booking. You may book as many as you want.

A small reduction in price if you buy the package.

Does my Elite status give me any perks??

With regards to the specialty restaurant bookings? No.

Does Aqua Class matter when it comes to pre-booking?? No.

You should be able to book specialty restaurants once you have made your deposit and established a login and password on the website. It does require paying at the time of booking, but if you cancel it is refundable. I usually book a month or two prior to sailing, sometimes a little more if I have a certain night and time I really want. Just go on the website and login, find your reservation, and click on the "manage your reservation" tab, and you should be able to book shore excursions, pre-cruise and post-cruise hotel stays, and transport to and from the airport. The three and five restaurant packages can save a little money, depending on your choice of venues, as some cost $35, and some cost $45.

The three and five night packages can save you quite bit (especially the five package). Be aware, however, that they are not without constraints. You can only reserve the first of the three (or five) reservations ahead of time (meaning the restaurant, date, and time). The remainder have to be booked onboard. Issue - by the time you board, others booking individually may already have snagged the prime times and dates. This happened to us the one and only time we did this. In the end, we found acceptable times and dates, but not our preferred. The more crowded the ship the more likely this will be an issue.

I believe we are on the same cruise and we have already booked our specialty restaurants. Folks are right....Celebrity has already charged our credit card for these reservations. We did not book a "threefor" package. It does save you a little bit of money, but we did not want to go to 3 of the restaurants.

Don't forget that you dine in Blu. Also, we waited until we were on the ship and booked the Ultimate Dining Package, which let us choose what restaurant on what nights, and it seemed that they always had a time we wanted 'available' (blocked off for Ultimate Diners??). We loved the freedom of that, and it also included all lunches a Bistro and the Porch. the total cost was $29 per day pp.
