Great Rail Journey/Cruise

Recommended Posts

We are considering using Great Rail Journeys from the UK for our river cruise in 2014. They use the Eurostar from London, connect with another train on the continent, and "rail" you to your cruise ship. At the end of the cruise, a train takes you back to London. Has anyone used this company, and if so, what are your comments? Would love to hear from you!

Coming from the US, we never would have reason to use them. However, from the UK is is a fantastic way to get to your ship.

Last year we went from Wengen in the Bernese Alps to Monte Carlo to catch our river cruise. It beat flying with all the security checks, and you can see a lot more on a train than at 30,000 feet.

The cities you will be visiting are great. We have been to all, and the stories and pictures are on our website

Thanks for writing back...enjoyed seeing your travel experiences! I happened upon the Great Rail website quite by accident and it looked very interesting, especially since my husband does not like flying.
