2manyBagsLady Posted August 7, 2013 #7 Share Posted August 7, 2013 Thanks for the info...gonna book it.. Can't wait..the pics I have seen look awesome! I posted this on another thread about Passion Island, but feel it's worth posting again to reach as many people as possible: PACK, TAKE & USE BUG SPRAY when visiting Isla Passion. We were there August 2 with the Conquest and our party of 5 got many, many mosquito bites. They started landing on us the minute we walked off the Twister boats. The island is beautiful, the sand soft, the ocean just wonderful to look at and be in, the drinks and food plentiful, but so were the bugs! My family suffered from the bites horribly the next few days and I wish I had been better prepared to save them the discomfort. Another tip - buy those cheap inflatable tubes at the dollar store (I bought 1 pack that included two tubes) and inflate them once on the island to just float around and relax in the water. Heaven!! You can leave them behind with some little kids, that may be staying longer on a different excursion than you, if you don't want to cart them back. frito58 Posted August 7, 2013 #8 Share Posted August 7, 2013 Wow must have been the time of year , we have been to Passion Island 4 times don't ever remember being bit or even seeing a bug. Strange. We love it do hate the fact the fact the cruise companies have their grubby little hands on it. Raised the prices and shortened the times buts one of our all time favorite places to go. But alas I am sure they will ruin it somehow. :(
OCruisers Posted August 7, 2013 #9 Share Posted August 7, 2013 Wow must have been the time of year , we have been to Passion Island 4 times don't ever remember being bit or even seeing a bug. Strange. Neither have we ... but ours to Passion Island have been in the Jan/Feb time frame and we stay in the beach area. Mostly mosquitoes don't hang out on beaches because their little wings can't fly in the wind. LuLu ~~~~
