DH and I both have birthdays in August. :)

 

When we went to Bermuda on the Grandeur, we booked an Inside GTY because it was last minute and that's all that was available in our price range. We were pleasantly surprised at the port to receive an Oceanview. No, it wasn't a Suite, but sure was nice having a window.

 

Your best bet for an upgrade is to book a GTY closest to your target stateroom wish, involve your TA, or call RCCL. Good luck! ;)

We have always been upgraded, but in our own category. We got a interior room guarantee, and got upgraded to an interior LARGE room ( a whopping 10 feet more). Its something :)

Thanks for all the encouragement and good wishes for David's birthday! Especially loved hearing from some of our wonderful cruising friends! We will be happy wherever we end up.
