lais Posted August 8, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2013 We are trying to determine what ports are tender ports in our Around the Horn cruise of South America. If you have done this cruise, can you tell us which ones are tender? Just look at the Itinerary on the Celebrity website and it tells you what ports are tendered. 4774Papa Posted August 8, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted August 8, 2013 Just look at the Itinerary on the Celebrity website and it tells you what ports are tendered. The website doesn't indicate.
4774Papa Posted August 8, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted August 8, 2013 Thanks, you are correct, I was mistaken, the website does now indicate tendering or docked.
Rare cruisestitch Posted August 8, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 8, 2013 Go at little farther into the website. From the home page, pick your ship and sail date, and when the options come up hit "more details" and you will be taken to a page which shows which ports are docks, which are tenders, and how long you will have in each port

Garry Hi Garry, I'm surprised that you are tendering in Ushuaia. Every time we have been there, we have docked, and just walked into the downtown area. Never been there on Celebrity though. Ray in NH
Rare Turtles06 Posted August 8, 2013 #8 Share Posted August 8, 2013 Hi Garry, I'm surprised that you are tendering in Ushuaia. Every time we have been there, we have docked, and just walked into the downtown area. Never been there on Celebrity though. Ray in NH It does seem surprising. Here's the Infinity docked in Ushuaia this past February (across from the Nat Geo Explorer, which we'd just gotten off. Ironically, our next trip will be on the Infinity, and we'd booked by then, so we thought this was a bit of good karma to find them together at "the End of the World"). coldweathergirl Posted August 8, 2013 #9 Share Posted August 8, 2013 We weren't elite when we did around the cape on the Infinity and the tendering process was so well organized. The only bit of difficulty we encountered was at Punte D'el Este and the weather was foggy and tendering had to be suspended for a while. When we sailed this past winter on the Millenium in Asia we assumed it would go slick like the Infinity. The tendering process was awful with long waits and they were so disorganized. Mulege Posted August 9, 2013 #10 Share Posted August 9, 2013 We loved Ushuaia and saw the penguins up close. See PIRA tours. Only 20 people at a time on the island.
