Beaches IN Falmouth? Trolley?

Hubby and I are just wanting to go to the beach but don't prefer to pay a premium to be driven to a beach in another city. Surely there is a beach to hit in the Falmouth area we might walk to? Anything like that?

We also plan to go on the trolley around the city. Did that last time and loved all the places they showed us. Anyone know how much it is to ride the trolley and how long the trip is? I forget.

There are no beaches within walking distance, but there are a few nearby. The ship will offer excursions to Red Stripe and Chukka beach for about $30/person, or you can do Time n' Place on your own for $20/person (http:// http://www.mytimenplace.com/cruisedaypasspackages.htm).

Have you been to Time n' Place? Is it comfortable? Good snorkeling? crowded? We were looking at going to Dr. Cave Beach thru Reggae tours or maybe Chukka Beach. Which do you think is best? We don't like to party, just relax and snorkel some.

I posted a review of Time n Place at http://cruiseforums.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=37361346#. It was a nice beach, not at all crowded, friendly staff, cheap food and drink (we didn't try the food but heard that it was good), and no one hassling you to buy stuff like you might get at Doctors Cave. There isn't really any good snorkeling in that part of Jamaica. I can't compare it to any of the other beaches on the island because I haven't done them, but I wouldn't hesitate to return the next time I'm in Falmouth.
