Nana57 Posted August 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2013 Has anyone done the Whale Watch, Salmon Bake and Mendenhall glacier tour though RCI? How did you like it?
Budget Queen Posted August 10, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2013 An alternative to consider and the reasons, Gold Creek Salmon back is outside, it may not be a desirable, in cold rainy/damp weather, so determine the priority for you. Mendenhall Glacier is a fixed time, usually at most 45 minutes, enough for many people, not, for others. This really isn't enough time for Nugget Falls trail, which needs an hour. Allen Marine is a long time consistently well run company. All these places can be booked independent with a more flexible schedule. If you want to go to Mendenhall, getting an independent with a combo whale watch and Mendenhall allows more time, as you arrive/leave depending on you, using shuttle buses. Gold Creek Salmon bake runs a continuous loop bus from the same parking lot on the dock at the tram, same place the Mendenhall shuttle buses are. This is best with a long port day.
