Crazy DREAM!

Has anyone else ever had super weird dreams that just seem totally impossible? Well last night I dreamt I was on a RCI cruise, I don't know which one but for some reason I knew it was RCI :p (hopefully Allure!) and I was on the promenade deck and we were passing a cluster of other ships in the middle of the ocean. This cluster of ships were all stopped though and one of them had their emergency sirens going off and people were evacuating the ship via the lifeboats but it wasn't sinking. Then I remember hearing someone say we had to get out of that area asap. Then I thought the ship being evacuated was going to blow up! That's all I remember for that situation. Then all of the sudden I was in the ships casino and some crazy stuff was going on, like all of the slots were falling over and crashing into walls, sparks everywhere!

So yes, none of this ever happened and it was all a dream! Thought I would share, maybe you guys could share your wacky dreams too! When we had our Allure OTS cruise booked, I had at least 4-5 dreams of actually being on the ship yet I had never stepped foot on the behemoth!

HA, I think this means we are totally obsessed.

The other night, I dreamt I was late to my excursion in Jamaica and they left without us. :( That could be a reality and isn't wacky, I just thought it was weird that I'm already dreaming about the cruise.

You aren't the only one. We just need directions to the 12 step program for cruise addicts. :o

:p I am 100% normal and I dream often about being on a cruise. So I figure you are "normal" too!

BTW- the one that scared me the most was one dream that I had forgot to pack! Funny thing, I think I decided to go anyways and just wing it. totally a dream because I start packing months in advance!!!!

I have had several cruise-related dreams. I have had a few where I am hanging off the back of ship, desperately trying to hang on.

Last night's dream (yes, literally last night) was one of the most bizarre I have ever had. I walked into the Cafe Promenade, I'm not sure what ship I was dreaming about. Anyway, in the promenade was a group of about 10-12 people, most of them with gray hair singing out loud 'In the air tonight' by Phil Collins.

No clue what that means but I'm pretty sure I need help.

I can always tell I'm getting close to a trip by the severity of my nightmares regarding the trip. I will "dream" I forgot my clothes, missed the ship, forgot my passport, went the wrong week....you name it, I've dreamt about it.

I routinely have this nightmare before vacations. Do you think it has to do with the fact I am a procrastinator when it comes to packing? :D:rolleyes:

Have cruise dreams often. Weirdest are when I seem to be lost on a ship and can't seem to find how to get where I want to go! (Sometimes I have the same type of dream about shopping malls.)

Just as weird - or maybe worse! - I dream other people have to go through our cabin to get to theirs!:eek:

We were on an Alaska cruise going through the Inside Passage.

My mom was wearing one of those prescription seasick patches...which (I think) made her a little loopy.

We were dining next to window in the Windjammer after a port stop, and all of a sudden, she blurts out, "OMG! What time is it? Don't we have to get back on board the ship? ":D

We convinced her to stop wearing the patch for a couple of days. :)

I've had at least three dreams where I was on a ship and it was capsizing  One of the times I was on a ship, taking a nap in my cabin and I dreamt I was in my cabin and the ship was slowly tipping forward. I could feel the bed turning upright but I didn't fall off of it - I guess gravity does not work in dreams  In the dream I had while I was at home, I was on the bridge and the ship turned upside down so that he bridge was completely submerged :(

I really hate those kinds of dreams.

Here's my crazy dream:Right before our last cruise I kept dreaming that my daughter wanted to go to the gift shop as soon as we got on board. (Mind you she is 35 years old!)Then she wouldn't come out the entire cruise. I really was mad at her because we only got to see the gift shop for the whole 5 day cruise! We even had our carry-on luggage with us!

When we actually got on the ship we peeked out the window of our promenade room. Guess what! We were directly across from the gift shop!:DWe couldn't stop laughing the whole week whenever we looked out the window!

LOL its fun to read through some of your dreams! Its so funny how our minds play tricks on us! :p Corts2c, that is so crazy and funny!!!!

Now have any of you watched the movie Speed 2, Titanic, or Poseidon?! I bet some of our wacky dreams are based from seeing those movies in the past, I love Poseidon but I don't think I've ever had a dream about being on a ship capsizing. I think we dream about our subconscious fears.

The scary thing is that I've experienced "Déjà Vu" before and I think its from dreams that I've had in the past. Hoping none of our dreams ever come true for us! ;)

I was just thinking the same thing about the OP, guess I got lucky on the Monarchs last cruise, Karen was on it and we made it home:)

Well, it WAS just a dream. At least I didn't dream that the MDR was filled with people smoking and wearing Speedos. Now, THAT would be a nightmare. :D

Oh, and I'm booked on the Majesty's (supposed) final sailing too. Mwahahahaha
