Happy Hour on Amsterdam

Is there anyone out there that is just off the Amsterdam? I'd like to know if they still have Happy Hour between 4 and 5 PM in the Crow's Nest and Ocean Bar. Another poster today alluded to the fact it was no longer being offered on one of the HAL ships..:eek:

Not just off but on Amsterdam two months ago. Happy Hour available in Crow's Nest. Did not go to Ocean Bar so do not know.

I'm interested to know about this for other HAL ships too. We're booked on the N. Amsterdam in Oct and no happy hour would be a real blow.

I think someone posted there was no happy hour on the Rotterdam and when they asked why they were told it was because of all the Europeans on board that the ship did not need to offer any specials on drinks.

Maybe on cruises that are port intensive they do are not schedule the four to five happy hour because so many would be off the ship at that time.

We were on the NA in March. They had happy hours; 4, 6 and 10. We'll be back in December.

It is interesting to follow how some ships have done away with Happy Hour -- especially when the ships are in Europe.

What a strange comment for them to have made. There were more Europeans on our Alaska cruise in June than there were on the Med cruise a few years back and both had happy hours.

 

Perhaps it really is a decision made on individual ships. :rolleyes:

There was a daily Happy Hour on the Amsterdam two weeks ago. Not sure which bars, but definitely in the Crow's Nest from 4-5.

Yes, on the NA the 10ish happy hour is in the Northern Lights. Same for Eurodam, Westerdam, Zuiderdam.

The question was Amsterdam, not N. Amsterdam.

On our Rotterdam Transatlantic there were 50% Dutch and we had Happy Hout, but on the next segemt, Rotterdam to Rotterdam with 75% Dutch on board, no Happy Hour!

Happy Hour is offered on all ships in the Caribbean and Alaska.

There was a Happy Hour daily in the Ocean Bar (too early) at 4:00 most days in early June on the same itinerary. No reason to believe that it would be changed less than two months later.
