Best time of the year for a cruise that goes to Santorini and the like

Hey guys, the wife and I are planning to take a cruise that stops in Santorini and other areas in a few yrs, what is the best time of the year to go, and which line is the preffered?

 

We were thinking of Princess or RCI, is there a better choice?

We did NCL on Jade from Venice last late September, the cruise was wonderful still very hot in Santorini. We have done 2 RCCI cruises around the med, both cruise lines are excellent. Happy cruising:)

We did Celebrity Solstice in June of last year. Both the weather and the ship were very nice. Worth checking out IMHO.

You may need to bear in mind that UK schools, and some EU schools have a 6 week summer holiday that starts the 3rd week of July, and finishes in the 1st week of Sept.

 

Prices will rise substantially during this time, the ships will be very full, and in that region temperatures will be very high (up to high 30 c / 110 f)

 

If you can avoid going then, I personally would, and maybe consider mid/late June, or mid Sept? Less busy, cheaper and cooler.
