Blue Man Group

I understand that attending the Blue Man Group on the Norwegian Epic requires that your room 'key' is scanned. Is this because you can only attend it once during a cruise? Should I or must I make reservations in advance for Blue Man Group? Can I make a reservation on line or after we board?

We made advanced reservations to see BMG. But we enjoyed the show so much that we ended up seeing it again by just going before the show as standby on another night. I guess it depends how booked it is. But this show was our favorite on a cruise ship! A lot of energy, wish they were on all their ships:). Your cabin card is like your ticket. They scan it in as you arrive.

I think the only reason they scan your card for BlMG is to keep a tally of how many people attend a particular showing. I never had a problem going to ANY show, including BMG on the Epic by showing up 10 mins before the show. Open seats were always available.

Plus, I didn't have to wait in line.

They also have a ticker that pulls up peoples names that were scanned in. For example it said before the show"Congratulations to XXXXX(my son) for inventing XXXX(I can't remember what it was)" and asked everyone to applaud him. He was so embarrassed when we pointed to him and started clapping :D:o. He thought we did it on purpose but my guess is they got his name when he scanned into the theater.

You may like BMG, but our group of six, known as the Blue Moon group due to our choice of beer thought it was pretty bad. Entertainment full of regurgitating, throwing toilet paper, all extremely repetitive, boring and designed for pre-adolescent boys.

Wow...we must not have seen the same show you did because I don't recall the show being like that . To each his own. It just goes to show that entertainment is just as subjective as the food when it comes to cruise lines.

Maybe you drank to many blue moons before going sure it wasn't the crew talent show?
