Culinary Culture Tour with CCL

Recommended Posts

Has anyone done this tour with CCL? This Culinary tour looks new on the CCL site, only 2 reviews. We are going with friends that have never been to Cozumel and they want to try this, so any feedback is appreciated. (We have been to Coz before; Nachi, shopping, and renting a jeep are a few things we have done before).

Evidently its very new. since July 2013? Look like a couple of the food stops are more Italianesque than Yucatan. La Tiendita Deli is owned by Guidos, THE Italian place in San Miguel. This isn't to dis either, just to point out they aren't the authentic Yucatan cusine places that abound. But even locals enjoy them and the expats living loonger term on the island hit up both frequently. Also "El Fish" cantina is one of the preferred ex-pat cantinas, where even they hope to escape the tourista joints. Zermatt's is the bakery and you won't find better. Couple of nice museum and art gallery stops as well. Could be an enjoyable tour, if you're not into the beach/drink/party scene.

If you and your friends would like to sample cooking or hands on cooking class, contact Josephina, she will immerse you into the Yucatan way:)
