GAMOM4 Posted August 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2013 I was just looking at booking the Carnival Liberty for the last week in May 2014 and there isn't an Early Saver Rate listed......are they doing away with that on some cruises? We have booked Early Saver the last 4 or 5 cruises.....I am glad to see that the Liberty is going to sail out of Port Canaveral next year.
k2excursion Posted August 14, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2013 It seems like they are phasing out Early Saver. I haven't seen it in a long time on any sailing that I've looked at.
girlscruise2011 Posted August 14, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 14, 2013 They seem not to have Early Saver when there are sales going on. They are having a Fall and Winter Sale now and hopefully when its over, the Early Saver rate will be back.
FlaGrl4Evr Posted August 14, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 14, 2013 You can always book under another rate and than change to ES if it appears for your sailing. I found out from my PVP that it's ok to book another rate and then change to ES, but NOT permissible to book ES and than change to another rate. If you really want this sailing date and want to lock-in a good cabin choice, then book it and see what happens. Besides, by booking under a rate other than ES, it would be easier to cancel without penalty if you decide to change to another sailing or ship or cancel. ( if it's before the final payment date.) Good luck to you. :) .
Lovefuninthesun Posted August 14, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 14, 2013 The Early Saver rate seems to come and go dependent upon what other promotions they are running. Earlier this morning I looked at a Liberty cruise for October 2014 and the ES rate was available for that sailing. IMO, there doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason sometimes.....:o
GAMOM4 Posted August 14, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted August 14, 2013 I sent my PVP a message and asked him about the Early Saver not showing up on the Liberty....he told me that the Early Saver is on every cruise in May ... so maybe it is just that we can't see it now but that they can. For any of you that have been on the Liberty is the Lido Deck a good deck to stay on? We loved it on the Freedom.

For any of you that have been on the Liberty is the Lido Deck a good deck to stay on? We loved it on the Freedom. We have stayed on the Panorama deck, FWD, which is great access to the Lido without being too close to the noise and traffic. It is worth the extra few dollars to move up. For any of you that have been on the Liberty is the Lido Deck a good deck to stay on? We loved it on the Freedom. I had connecting balconies on the Lido for my November 2012 cruise and I loved it and didn't have any noise at all. The convenience is worth it to me so much that I have booked Lido balconies again for my Valor cruise in January 2014.

GAMOM4 Posted August 15, 2013 Author #10 Share Posted August 15, 2013 Well we sent the PVP an e-mail and told him that we had definitely decided on the Liberty on May 24th...he sent me an e-mail this morning and told me that for some reason that was the ONLY cruise in May that wasn't showing early saver.....I asked him did he think that maybe some kind of special group was chartering a big part of it or something....haven't heard back from him yet....but if he was even surprised...that makes me wonder:confused:
GAMOM4 Posted August 15, 2013 Author #11 Share Posted August 15, 2013 We are booking the Liberty this evening...finally decided for sure ..the 7 night eastern that goes to Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Thomas & Nassau is the one we are planning on....We could go 8 nights for $260 more...staying in the same Lido Cabin we want it would be going to Aruba, Curaco, and Grand Turk.... What do you think? Is one night worth the $260 difference? Of course we would also get the extra sea days we love....one bad thing is it is at the beginning of May and we really prefer to sail the last week of the month...4 at sea days.... kakarp Posted August 16, 2013 #12 Share Posted August 16, 2013 6 of us sailed Liberty last April all om lido deck and we all loved it. 4 of us (so far) from that cruise are booked on Liberty for May 9 lido deck, because of Aruba. We all booked early saver. Out of 10 cruise DW and I have booked Lido 6 times. Would have been 8 times but on 2 cruises Lido had no cabins Kevin
