not2old Posted August 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2013 We will be in Baltimore Oct 16th before our Grandeur cruise on the 17th. Does anyone know how late the water ferries run? We were thinking about exploring Fells Point and hitting a few bars...
Lexi03 Posted August 15, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2013 The water ferries run from the inner harbor to Fells Point. If it is a nice day it can be a good trip. The harbor is not (IMHO) beautiful to look at, and since the ferries are privately run they are pretty expensive. If you just want to go over there I would just recommend a cab - it is not really far away from the inner harbor (20 blocks??) so it would not be expensive. Fells Point was awesome when I lived in Baltimore during college, about ten years ago. My favorite bar was 'the horse you rode in on'. it's on the street that faces the water, to the right if you are coming from the Main drag. Whatever you do - do not walk. Baltimore is one of those places where it can get scary from block to block and the area between the inner harbor and Fells is industrial. Have fun! :p

The link to the Water taxi service: http://www.baltimorewatertaxi.com/ Charm City Circulator Free Bus Service link: http://www.charmcitycirculator.com/ The water taxi is a great way to get around the harbor. Great views of the Inner Harbor,Harbor East, Fell Point Canton Fort McHenry. The Inner Harbor and surrounding areas is really vibrant with lots to do and see. Many new bars restaurants shops etc. I have lived in the Baltimore area all of my life and still enjoy going to the harbor to see what's going on. You might also want to check our Power Plant Live in the Inner Harbor. http://www.powerplantlive.com/ Many people do walk from the Inner Harbor area to the Harbor East and Fells Point area.
