vigurl Posted August 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2013 If you could go on any 7-8 day cruise or a B2B totaling 7-8 days which one would you go on? If $$ was not a factor, vacation time was not a factor and cruise line/air fare was not a factor which one would it be?
Lovefuninthesun Posted August 15, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2013 If limited to 7/8 days, then Southern Caribbean, leaving out of San Juan. If > 7/8 days, Panama Canal or Mediterranean.
jsfromsc Posted August 15, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 15, 2013 7 or 8 days isn't long enough for Hawaii or Europe, so I'll choose Alaska. That's where I'd like to cruise next. I've seen plenty of the Caribbean already. But I'd love to be able to take one of those Paul Gauguin cruises around Tahiti! I doubt I'll ever be able to afford it, though. :(

Rare pirate4me2 Posted August 15, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 15, 2013 Well, limited to 7 or 8 days it would be Alaska. Or the southern Carrib from San Juan. If more than 7 or 8 days I would love to go to Hawaii and to find a cruise that does Fiji and Tahiti. Oh, and a Panama Canal cruise too!

SnowshoeCat Posted August 15, 2013 #7 Share Posted August 15, 2013 Can we make up our own itineraries? I'd like to go to Norway, but with a stop in Oslo and some other city so it's not all fjords (which are beautiful - I just like a little variety). Something in SE Asia would also interest me. PCHENG Posted August 15, 2013 #8 Share Posted August 15, 2013 Med cruise, because that is the one cruise where time and air fare is always a big factor, seeing as how you will be spending a whole day just to get to your embarkation port, and the cost of air is often more expensive than the cruise itself. CaribbeanLuver Posted August 15, 2013 #9 Share Posted August 15, 2013 Definitely the southern Caribbean that goes to Aruba and Curacao. Hope to do this one next year!:D
beshears Posted August 15, 2013 #10 Share Posted August 15, 2013 It would not be a BtoB, but if I could go back again, (this would be my 3rd time), I would go back to St. Luica. What an island. It is like a Crayola box, with so many colors, valleys, mountains. I fell in love with this island and its people.:)

S.S.Oceanlover Posted August 15, 2013 #12 Share Posted August 15, 2013 with the stipulation that you could go on any cruise line also it's nice to see nobody wants to stray.:) Personally I'd do the 7 - Night Mediterranean - Venice to Piraeus on Ruby Princess. Ports of Call: Venice, Italy; Dubrovnik, Croatia; Corfu, Greece; Istanbul, Turkey; Mykonos, Greece; Piraeus (Athens), Greece Bill

laumicmah Posted August 15, 2013 #16 Share Posted August 15, 2013 I agree with others: 7-8 days would be southern Caribbean out of San Juan or an Alaska cruise. Also, in looking at the last cruises on the Pride out of Baltimore, they have an 8 day repo (starts in Balt and ends in San Juan) that looks great in Nov 2014. Also like NCL's 7 day Hawaii cruise. Longer cruises, with money being no object, I'd like to do a Med cruise (probably on RCCL).

And I am 40 and very casual, so not too sure if I'd go with a fancy cruise line.

When we cruise Princess we usually eat in the buffet so we stay casual. we might eat one or two nights in the MDR so I have to throw on pants but that's OK.:) Bill
tree.critter Posted August 15, 2013 #20 Share Posted August 15, 2013 I'd like to head down under and maybe give the Australian itinerary a try. Dream cruise would be 2-3 week South Pacific..... it's on the bucket list.

mousey Posted August 16, 2013 #23 Share Posted August 16, 2013 I would probably cruise out of Barcelona and end up in Venice. If I could make up my own cruise it would be to Cuba. That's where my ancestors are from. I've never been there and neither has anyone in my family. I've been wanting to travel there for years to see where my ancestors came from. Yes, I know I could get there through Canada or Mexico, but I want to go there legally. So until the embargo is done away with...I'll just have to sit tight. I don't belong to any religious or academic group that would be going there legally either so that's out too. One can dream! The first cruise that heads to Cuba legally...and if I'm still alive...LOL...I'm on it! Oh yeah, no, I don't have any family there so going to see family isn't a way for me to get there. I know some of the Cuban people in FL are allowed to travel to see family, but I don't have anyone there that I know of. I'm sure there are probably some distant, distant, cousins but I don't know of any for sure.

babsee101 Posted August 16, 2013 #25 Share Posted August 16, 2013 I know this would take longer than 7/8 days but a South America/Antarctica itinerary would be awesome! Oh and throw in a B2B to the Galapagos Islands! Why not? Right? lol Time to win that darn lottery!
