bobbyR30 Posted August 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2013 I'm sailing on Carnival next month. Can you get away with bringing 1.5L bottles of wine on board or will it be collected at the gangway?
CruiserBruce Posted August 15, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2013 As this is a cruise line specific policy, best to research on the Carnival board, here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=

Sixtytwo Posted August 15, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 15, 2013 In NOLA, I did board Conquest with a 1.5L in my carryon. Others have been successful as well in other ports. But, others have had the liter bottles taken and held until disembarkation. The official policy is that only 750ml bottles are allowed in carryon and 1.5L bottles will be confiscated. If you ever went to the circus or fair, I am sure you've heard "you pay your money and take your chances. ;)

okgirl Posted August 16, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 16, 2013 It really is just the luck of the draw.....some ports are very strict (Galveston), and some are less strict..... Risk it if you choose to, but be prepared for the consequences.
