Essiesmom Posted August 16, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Have you tried the Bermuda board here at CC, under the Ports of Call? And have you checked to see if there is a roll call for your cruise? EM
JerseyGem Posted August 16, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2013 I agree to check out the Bermuda board here on CC. Also, check out the official Bermuda Tourism site via the internet; URl is www dot gotoBermuda dot com Somewhere on the site, you can request that they mail maps, etc to you. I haven't cruised to Bermuda with X in two years (although I will next Spring!). Two years ago, they did not give out general sightseeing maps on board, just their preferred shopping maps. There is a small Tourism Information booth right where you dock, but it will be very crowded. I suggest getting maps (and deciding what to do) before you leave for your cruise. Tiggertastic Posted August 16, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 16, 2013 yes there is the basic a4 that they give but it is based on the 'selected shops'. When you get off the ship there is a small tent for a terminal which has a tourist info desk with free maps. Don't bother getting in line, the line is for speaking to the guides, grab a map off the desk. We did get one off the concierge and a map of the dockyard too so they may have some at the concierge desk
hcat Posted August 16, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Bermuda tourism site used to mail out a great booklet with maps,, now it is abbreviated but I believe still included a good map

SailBadtheSinner Posted August 16, 2013 #9 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Thank you, very pretty and informative. If you have been there?? Would you use the bus or rent a moped/bike? I own a motorcycle, but while in Bermuda, I use the bus. If you're thinking about renting a motor scooter, I suggest you first read this post from the Bermuda Ports of Call forum titled - Guide - Should you rent a motor scooter in Bermuda. I do agree with the author of the post. SBtS
miched Posted August 16, 2013 #10 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Thank you, very pretty and informative. If you have been there?? Would you use the bus or rent a moped/bike? If you are planning on renting a motor scooter your first stop should be the Swizzle Bar to drink a pitcher of Swizzle Rum Punch to begin your journey. You should then call a taxis to take you back to the ship. You will be grateful that you did that as it was the safer and more enjoyable experience. When you drive a motor scooter there you are risking your life. It is better to take the public transportation. .

factotumdeb Posted August 16, 2013 #12 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Bermuda is one of our favorite destinations. Please Do Not use a scooter, please take the public transportation. It's great, entertaining, affordable, reliable and safer. They sell multi day bus passes- depending on how long you stay, which makes it sooo easy to get around. The bus pass also work for the ferry system too. One price, unlimited use!
