Bo59rt Posted August 16, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2013 So I am still in the throws of trying to design my "perfect" vibrant wedding from my head to real life.... but that is another story.... I just got my call that my Wedding dress has arrived to the shop! A little over three months from the order date (right on time in my opinion). Now for the bridesmaids dresses, that's another story. After Finding a company that made nice lime green chiffon dresses that everyone agreed on ( I wanted short for the beach, they wanted long to hide their "stubby" knees) we found a two- skirt high low dress that will look awesome with a beach breeze! (pretty maids # 22531) By the time I got all the girls together to get their sizes taken which took a couple of months, they discontinued the lime green color!!! so after trying to re-visualize my vibrant wedding we chose another color, and found out that the order isn't estimated to come in until the beginning of January! that is 5-6 months!!! This is crazy, if anything is manufactured wrong I hope I can get replacements by March! I wish I could say that I am having the "fun" wedding planning experience that people talk about, but this is super stressful (imo)! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
lightskinedgyal Posted August 16, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2013 LOL i had the same problem with the bridesmaides they took forever to order the dress i had to help two of them buy it on clearance from other provinces! lol Anyways it all worked out. Dont worry the dresses come earlier then they say. Also when in doubt you can buy it on clearance! LOL SO now i have three bridesmaides with long and three with short (the short one was the only one on clearance) LOL its all good tho i figured we are having a cruise wedding why not have unique bridesmaides too! LOL My point is dont stress whatever happens will happen. People will book to come to the wedding then cancel. People will tell you they are coming and never book. Such is life. You can get everyone in the same color and the girls can wear it anyway they want. 2: check out David's Bridal. Their turnaround time is super fast. Good luck!
