Feelin' Nauti' Posted August 17, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2013 Read in the newspaper - during the week of Oct. 20 to 27 there will be the largest cruise sale. Anyone know about this? Is it worth holding off booking a cruise until then?
xxoocruiser Posted August 17, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2013 October 20-27, 2013 is the CLIA" National Cruise Vacation Week. CLIA is the Cruise Line International Association that many travel agents are members. The event is just a big push by TA's to generate business by hosting events. Any deals are mostly likely to be perks offered by the TA's as TA's generally can't reduced the Cruise Lines set pricing. Here's the link : http://www.travelpulse.com/clias-national-cruise-vacation-week-set-for-oct-2027.html IMHO opinion if your find a good deal that meets your budget requirements , the cabin you want and offers the intinerary you want than consider booking it now. Feelin' Nauti' Posted August 18, 2013 Author #8 Share Posted August 18, 2013 Define sale????? Cruises are constantly "ON SALE". I dunno.... maybe cruise lines or/and TA's are offering irresistible incentives?!?!? OBC, lower deposits, maybe a bottle of wine. Guess we'll have to wait and see what kind of special or sale ;) they offer. Could be a big hype to build TA's sales.... who knows. Krazy Kruizers Posted August 18, 2013 #9 Share Posted August 18, 2013 If I waited that long to book a 2014 cruise, chances of my getting the cabin I want would be slim. We don't book guarantees.

If you're going to hold out until this so called 'sale" than it's important to note you have to use a TA that's member of CLIA.
mitsugirly Posted August 18, 2013 #11 Share Posted August 18, 2013 I remember them talking about this last year. I didn't see anything that made me say "wow, I need to book now." :)
