Smoking

I have been reading that cruise lines are starting to ban smoking on balconies (which I am in favor of). The problem is that we are booked in a 2 bed suite for Feb 2013 with my parents (smokers). One of the reasons we got the 2 bed suite was so that there's a balcony that they could smoke on. But, now I am getting a bit worried that NCL might change that too. If they ban it, then I guess I would be better off trying to get a room closer to the designated smoking area for my parents. Final payment is in December so I don't know how much notice NCL might give cruisers before implementing a change like that. Any rumors or thoughts? Thanks!

There is usually one side of the pool area that is designated for smoking. And there are a few spots, near the doors on the Promenade deck where you can smoke. Try NCL dot com and search your ship - they may show the specific designated smoking areas for your ship.
