allison0523 Posted August 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2013 I have been reading that cruise lines are starting to ban smoking on balconies (which I am in favor of). The problem is that we are booked in a 2 bed suite for Feb 2013 with my parents (smokers). One of the reasons we got the 2 bed suite was so that there's a balcony that they could smoke on. But, now I am getting a bit worried that NCL might change that too. If they ban it, then I guess I would be better off trying to get a room closer to the designated smoking area for my parents. Final payment is in December so I don't know how much notice NCL might give cruisers before implementing a change like that. Any rumors or thoughts? Thanks! meaclasact2 Posted August 19, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2013 There is usually one side of the pool area that is designated for smoking. And there are a few spots, near the doors on the Promenade deck where you can smoke. Try NCL dot com and search your ship - they may show the specific designated smoking areas for your ship. Coastalbreezes Posted August 19, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2013 As of right now, smoking is still permitted on balconies. They can also smoke in the casino. Tracy
SteveH2508 Posted August 19, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2013 When they last changed the policy to ban smoking in cabins (Jan 2012), they gave about 9 months notice IIRC.
Cruzn Bills Fan Posted August 19, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 19, 2013 I believe you missed your cruise. Feb 2013 was 6 months ago! Sorry couldn't resist. :D
