Passenger Lists

HIPPA is health/medical privacy, NOT cruise line related. One does not sign a HIPPA acknowledgment receipt when taking a cruise.

Passenger lists were published when many of us were not concerned about privacy. I recall fellow passengers requesting that their names not be listed in those little booklets. Elimination of this booklet varied with cruise lines, probably in the mid 80's. A divorce attorney I know has some interesting stories about passenger lists.

Given the cut backs, I'm sure saving a few forests came into the decision, too. The bean counters no doubt figured how much money eliminating the lists saved.
