Carnival cruise cash questions

I'd like to buy a little bit of cruise cash each paycheck. If I end up not needing as much can I get cash back on the ship to spend in the port.

I realize that the best thing to do would be to put cash on my S&S or link to bank, but this is just the way I prefer to do it.

Cruise Cash is non refundable and it is a "Use it or Lose it" deal meaning that if you do not use all of it then Carnival keeps what you do not use. Some have stated that you should be able to withdraw it in the casino but I have not seen anyone state that they have actually done this with the Cruise Cash.

I would never purchase more than you think you might use.

IMHO it is better to keep your money in a cookie jar and apply cash when you get on the ship. No chance of Carnival keeping what you don't use.

+1 Why let Carnival have an interest free loan. If you run into a financial emergency you still have your money.

Here we go again....

I have actually bought Cruise Cash for a May cruise on the Freedom.

Received OBC for a price drop, so ended up having waaay to much money on my account (I prepay tips, etc)...

I cashed almost all of my OBC from the casino (played the rest:D).

So, yes. I can confirm that you can get this cash from the casino.
