One week to Platinum!!!!

I just had to share that I'm officially platinum on August 29, 2013 when we begin our b2b on the Victory. I'm flying in the day before and staying at the Intercontinental in Miami, so I'm counting that day. LOL. I'm so excited!!!!!

:D:D:D:D

I get to try out my "bennies" on the Splendor on 8/29, next week. My PVP says they are in effect for that sailing. I'm just wondering how hard I will have to push to get anything like exclusive processing and boarding. I always wait till most pax are on board before I even try to get in line. I just hate waiting. Does anybody recall their first time using platinum status? Was there much of a problem? R.A. "When you do not know what to do........wait":D

It's been several (20) cruises since I turned Platinum but I've never had a problem using my perks. Make sure your boarding pass says Priority and enjoy. We usually arrive at the port around 10:30-11 and have always been one of the first to board, after wedding parties and handicapped passengers. This has been our experience in NOLA, Miami, Jax, FLL, PC, Charleston and Galveston.

Some ships do debarkation better than others so that is usually a crapshoot.

Congratulations! The perks are nice. Sorry you didn't have it back when dining time was guaranteed and Slots Tournament was free. But, it's sure nice to have priority boarding and free laundry. Those are the two I love the best!!!

Yep, I recall the first time though it was a few years ago. Have not had any problems at all. One cruise we did have to ask for our platinum gift as it appeared the room steward was not familiar with the program.

As long as your boarding pass now says PRIORITY you are good to go. ENJOY! (I do!)
