Mini/Owner's Suite upgrade!

There are the Grand Suites on (I think) all Princess ships. They are larger and more beautiful than the OS. I have found that trying to book a Grand Suite can be daunting since they are some of the suites that go fast - my TA said we would have to book 12 months in advance to even hope to get one....Hope that helps....thanks

 

 

On the Emerald, Crown and Ruby there are no suites bigger than Owner's Suites. I can't speak to other ships like the Grand, Golden and Star.

Wow! Awesome! Never thought Princess would upgrade from a mini suite to a full suite. I'm booked in a mini suite in December on the Sapphire also on Emerald deck and had it marked, "Meta Upgrade" only. I was pretty sure I would never be upgraded, but now I can at least dream. Haha.

Odd thing, we had our reservations marked No Upgrade at all. We were so pleased with our Emerald deck mini suites we wanted to stay put. Never imagined we would receive a phone offer like this. We were initially reluctant because we like to open the door between the two balconies and we had specifically chosen those minis. So it took us a few hours and some back and forth phone conversations with the family members involved to make a decision. Thank you all for the information and again for fueling my excitement. :)

We have two side by side balcony cabins on the Caribbean Princess in December. My hubby, the travel arranger in our family THINKS our TA had the reservation marked "only upgrade either cabin if both are upgraded and will remain together."

 

I thought that would make upgrades highly unlikely except it seemed to work for an earlier poster.

Like most others on CC I'd love to have the Upgrade Fairy visit me someday but realistically doubt it will ever happen. Still, I'm always happy for those who get the upgrades.

You lose the cabin you wanted & get assigned another cabin -- that's what.

 

We weren't notified in time (Princess sent the email to my TA but at a wrong address). We now have the cabin next door to where we were, but w/o the corner balcony we wanted.
