Miss Priss Posted August 27, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2013 Hi Fellow travelers. We'll be in French Polynesia in Feb, March of 2014. Our ship, the Statendam, stops in Bora Bora at 4 in the evening. We thought about going to Matira Beach, but sunset is around 6:30 and I don't think we could get to the beach with any time left. Bloody Mary's is closed as it is Sunday. Is there someplace we could go to at least have a sunset drink? We're here overnight and have plans for the following day, but I sure don't want to miss this evening either. Can you help?
twin123185 Posted August 28, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 28, 2013 What about staying on the ship with a drink in hand out on deck? Just a thought. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
Rare Fletcher Posted August 28, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 28, 2013 I second that . . . the best view of the island and the sunset will be from your ship. If you are on the island the view will be of a rather large ship!
Tikiintahiti Posted August 28, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 28, 2013 There might be a few places to the left when you leave the tender drop off location that might be open on Sunday, just don't know which ones. The Bora Bora Yacht Club might be open, they have a restaurant and bar but I email them yesterday to ask but no answer yet.
Miss Priss Posted August 30, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted August 30, 2013 It sounds like Sunday is Sunday. Thanks for your comments. I guess I was just excited to "get to paradise". I think we'll wander around and if nothing grabs us, go back to the ship.
