HAL Cabins

Hello HAL Experts,

We are booked on the Westerdam to Alaska next summer. I'm just curious as to whether or not there is a way to track which cabins are being sold/still available on the ship for the cruise? I've looked on the HAL website but haven't been able to see if there is a away to do this. Thanks for any feedback!

I use one of the mass online sites (garden decorations). When you select the cabin category you're interested in, all the available cabins in that category will flash on the deck plan.

Got it! You had me at "garden decorations" :) (Especially since I just re-watched one of my favorite movies, Amelie, Sunday night :))

I'll go check it out! Thanks much!

Is there ever more than six in a category? If not, you are most likely not seeing "all" available, just the same ones you would see on the HAL site with a "test" booking.

OK, I'll confess. I'm totally mystified by all the codes and abbreviations in this post. Is there any public web site that shows all available cabins? I've never been able to find one that lists more than 6 in each category.

The site I mentioned shows 15 cabins per sub-category. If you add up each subcategory. it can show you a lot of cabins. Maybe not ALL available, but why does anyone need to see ALL available? Just curious

I thought you could just pretend you are booking the cruise, select the category (Inside, Verandah, Suite, etc.) you "want" & they list the available ones & give you a link to the deck. You don't even have to sign in. I just did it for a cruise I thought looked interesting. I must be missing something......

What you're missing is that not every available cabin is offered. The limit is six cabins offered, or fewer if there aren't that many.

If there are more cabins available, you have the option of asking for individual cabins one at a time.

You're not missing anything at all. The only thing is they only show 6 cabins max - so if there are 50 you don't see them all. You can plug each stateroom in individually if you are so inclined and see what ones are available (especially if there is one you like). ;)

The gnome site will show you up to 15 cabins of each subcategory, not 6
