First Time River Cruising Blount Small Ship

This will be our first River Cruise on the vessel Grande Mariner. We will be going to Nantucket Island,Marthas Vineyard,New Bedford,Warren RI. Block Island. We will be gone for 7 days in June of 2014.My wife and I have been on 9 cruises ,however all have been on large ships.

I understand the rooms are small but the question is Rough Waters. While I cant control the weather our ship is very small. Can anyone give us some insight on what to expect. Will we feel the movement when there is a slight chop? On a large ship the answer is no. This one I am not so sure.

Thanks in advance for your comments

The three island's are located in Rhode Island Sound and Nantucket Sound which are part of the Atlantic Ocean and the seas can get rough. You'll know you're on a ship. You're not that far from land and the water is some what sheltered by the islands. I've been to them many times and love the hi-speed ferry. Hope you have time to explore them.
