Waitlist for a cabin

Ok so when you start to book your cruise online NCL gives you an option of cabins available in the category you select to book in but the cabin you want or had on previous cruises is not available. So you select another cabin instead. Why wouldn't NCL have an option to waitlist a preferred cabin and if it became available assign it to you rather than you having to continue to search the website to see if anything comes up. Even if you weren't looking for a particular cabin but a particular category that is sold out. How would you know when a cabin becomes available in that category. Just asking.

thanks

The best way to see if a cabin or category opens up is to watch the NCL website for that sailing date very closely. About 90 days out, you may find some cabins coming online that you never saw before. These are cabins that Travel Agents had hoped to sell. When they dont have them booked by a certain date, they have to give them back to the cruise line to try to sell.

Cant promise you would get a great price but if you are already booked in a cabin that you will be happy with and then the price is not good on the one you are thinking about, you lose nothing.

Best of luck

You may find that NCL reps on the phone have more recent info on available cabins than the website. I assume you know that the website only offers just a few of the available cabins in the selection list...if there is a cabin that you want, you can enter that cabin number on the website to check it.

Your idea is a nice one, but it would mean that they would have to hold a newly-available cabin for x hours waiting for you to reply yes or no. Not likely that scenario fits in to their style of operation.

Maybe it is not worth the hassle on their part.

After all, 98% of Balcony rooms are pretty much the same.

And oceanview. And inside.

1036 is just like 1082 is just like 1028 is just like 1078, etc
