Ilios Posted September 2, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2013 Looking to sail on Oasis whilst she is in Europe, from Barcelona on 13th September. Its a short cruise just 5 nights but thought it would be a nice treat for our teenage daughters. Looking for a cabin for 4, lots of the categories are showing N/A in the UK?? Sumisid Posted September 2, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 2, 2013 Looking to sail on Oasis whilst she is in Europe, from Barcelona on 13th September. Its a short cruise just 5 nights but thought it would be a nice treat for our teenage daughters. Looking for a cabin for 4, lots of the categories are showing N/A in the UK?? Since the sale for this started in March, it filled up really quick. Also the transatlantic-sailings with Oasis in 2014 are nearly fully booked.
Ourusualbeach Posted September 2, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 2, 2013 You may want to price out getting two adjoining cabins or close by each other. Lots of times it is not that much more expensive and you get the luxury of 2 bathrooms. Almost a necessity with 2 teenage daughters.
novicetraveller Posted September 2, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 2, 2013 I am on the 13th Sept sailing and I booked on the day whe the sale opened. It was a tough call to decide to only book an inside room rather than a balcony.
Tyler80 Posted September 2, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 2, 2013 I wouldn't doubt it is nearly full. Ship sails full each week and people have longed for European and longer cruises onboard.
cruisnseas Posted September 2, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 2, 2013 Keep in mind that the Oasis class doesn't have a lot of quad rooms to begin with and this is a very in demand sailing. Look to see if you have better luck with two rooms.

The price now is over double what I paid
Rare NorbertsNiece Posted September 2, 2013 #8 Share Posted September 2, 2013 I'm another who booked on day of release.... the subsequent 2 cruises to yours..... prices rose instantly... it's a HUGE market so not surprised at all.
novicetraveller Posted September 3, 2013 #9 Share Posted September 3, 2013 I also booked the day it went on sale. The price now is over double what I paid  I am glad that I booked when I did. I'm another who booked on day of release.... the subsequent 2 cruises to yours..... prices rose instantly... it's a HUGE market so not surprised at all. Well, it is also rare for an Oasis class ship to make the trip to Europe. I am wondering if RCCL is scoping the European market for Oasis 3 to see if the demand is there. villauk Posted September 3, 2013 #10 Share Posted September 3, 2013 Just returned from Oasis and the cabins are definitely smaller than other classes of RCI ships. We were so pleased to have booked interconnecting cabins, it would have been a very tight squeeze with all four of us in the same room and ours aren't teenage girls . jackaboo Posted September 3, 2013 #11 Share Posted September 3, 2013 On both 5 nighters there are still lots of balconies left for a room of 4. Insides and ocean views - gone!
Froggitt Posted September 3, 2013 #12 Share Posted September 3, 2013 I suspect there are 10 balcony cabins for every oceanview or inside cabins.
Ilios Posted September 3, 2013 Author #13 Share Posted September 3, 2013 Thanks all looks like we may have to bite the bullet and either book 2 seperate cabins or a balcony for the 4 of us.
dz9yvr Posted September 3, 2013 #14 Share Posted September 3, 2013 Thanks all looks like we may have to bite the bullet and either book 2 seperate cabins or a balcony for the 4 of us. If finances will allow ... please do yourself a favor and book 2 adjoining cabins. The cabins on Oasis are very small and I cannot imagine a cabin with 2 adults and 2 teenage girls. Ther just isn't enough room for 4 people. I would also suggest trying to get a cabin that has at least 1 pull down bunk. The sofa beds are small and not very comfortable. Mines Posted September 3, 2013 #15 Share Posted September 3, 2013 Well, it is also rare for an Oasis class ship to make the trip to Europe. I am wondering if RCCL is scoping the European market for Oasis 3 to see if the demand is there. That is the reason why it has sold out, because of the rarity value. Because these ships have so much outdoor space, the Caribbean or Europe in the summer are ideal locations for this type of ship. A transatlantic would not be ideal.
