We did the Princess cruise With Land Tour as our Bucket List Trip in June, but damn the Bucket List, we're doing it again tomorrow! That is, we fly to SEA, stay overnight at the airport hotel, and transfer to Vancouver to do a R/T Vancouver on Princess, instead of the doing the land tour. Our Travel Arranger (I wouldn't call call her a Travel Agent) screwed up and booked us a transfer from Vancouver airport to the Ship, instead of Seattle airport to the ship. WHY??? Whew, mayhem ensued, as we figured this out yesterday, and long story short it was fixed. I hope. T/A has yet to email me confirmation. And she says it was Our Fault....but No, she booked the wrong transfer!

 

Whatever. We were trying to figure our backup plan alternatives from Seattle to Vancouver and could not come up with a car rental for under $250+ for one way, one day. We also looked into the Quickbus, Amtrak and other options but did not want to drive to downtown Seattle or Downtown Vancouver on the day of the cruise, and were worried about the border crossing (on 9/11), possible delays, traffic, customs, and general all-around negative possibilities as I read on various travel sites.

 

But I wondered where you found your $90 car rental?

 

Enjoy the 15-year old, sounds like you're doing something right if she wants to vacation with you. (Or maybe our kids were from another era, we never cruised with them till this summer!)
