What to do near the Los Angles Marriott

My wife and I will be spending a short time at the Marriott Los Angles Airport in February 2014. We will have all afternoon and evening to see some sights. Can anyone recommend things to see and do? Or possibly a bus tour? Also any good casual restaurants in the area?

There is a free "trolley bus" that stops at all the major hotels on the street leading into the airport. You can get a map of the stops at the front desk. It stops at a mall and also goes into Manhattan Beach where there is lots of shopping and restaurants. Parking is a bear in Manhattan Beach, so we always take the trolley. Near the hotel, there is not much but other hotels. During football season, we'll usually go to one of the sports bars.
