CAS reneged on VIP Perk

Private transportation from the pier to airport is listed as a VIP perk. It was offered to me for an upcoming CAS comped cruise that we are to embark on this month. I am VIP with close to 50,000 pts. When I recently called for information on the transportation I was told that the private transportation is now only offered to VIP's with 100,000 points or more. I told them that I had already been promised the transportation and had been told that it was being arranged. Now I was being told that things have changed and I am no longer eligible. The transportaion is not that big of a deal to me but reneging on a promise is. If it is not a perk it should not be listed as one and should be removed immediately from the NCl website. I have been dealing with CAS for many years with mostly positve experiences. This was very disappointing to me. Feel very let down. Has anyone else had this same experience?

That is outrageous. I would contact a CAS supervisor as that is unacceptable, since you were already assured you would be accommodated.

I have not reviewing the actual wording of the CAS perks, but based on what you are saying, this is

illogical on their part

 

Idiots are saving maybe $30... but will probably cost them hundreds in the long run. Am I missing something here?

There is an asterick next to that VIP perk and it reads that "certain conditions apply". When I asked what the conditions were at the time I originally requested the transportaion I was told by the CAS representative that CAS only provided private transportion within 30 miles of the pier to the airport. I was assured we were within that range and transportaion would be provided.
