Envelope21 Posted September 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2013 The Canes/Gators game is this Saturday and we will be on Enchantment. I'm pretty sure they carry ESPN on the ship. Can anyone verify so my DH doesn't have to freak out about missing the game? If worse comes to worse, plan B would be to watch it at a sports bar in Nassau. Mark_K Posted September 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2013 I don't think anyone can tell you for sure. If they have a sports bar, and it's open at noon, it will carry some national-type game. The ESPN carried throughout the ship is normally one of the international versions. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
GatorGirl Posted September 5, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 5, 2013 Ask when you get on the ship. I have watched many college football games while on the ship - especially Gator games. GO GATORS!
Envelope21 Posted September 5, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted September 5, 2013 Thanks. We'll ask when we get on the ship. I suppose as a backup we'll look for a sports-type bar in Nassau. Go Canes! (haha)

Envelope21 Posted September 5, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted September 5, 2013 Sounds great, but the game is right at noon and that is when we arrive in Nassau. Hopefully, they will have the game on the ship.
reallyitsmema Posted September 5, 2013 #7 Share Posted September 5, 2013 We just got off the Freedom on Sunday and they had two football games on the pool screen on Saturday night and on the tvs in the cabins. They had the Clemson game and then Northwestern. Not sure where else they showed it or actually who those teams played since I tuned into my book as my DH tuned into the football games, but they did show some games.;):D
Envelope21 Posted September 5, 2013 Author #8 Share Posted September 5, 2013 Thanks for that info. With so many Floridians on this particular cruise, you'd think they WOULD have that game. We'll find out in a couple of days!

Only if they're playing soccer abroad. :D
Envelope21 Posted September 9, 2013 Author #11 Share Posted September 9, 2013 Here is an update to my question. We just returned from the 3-day Enchantment. There was a note in the Cruise Compass that while docked in Nassau, there may be intermittent television reception. We checked the TV right at noon and ESPN2 was blacked out. So we got off the ship, caught a cab to Atlantis and had a lovely day in their new sports bar watching the game. When we got back on the ship afterwards, we found out that a lot of people watched the game on the ship. THey said they lost reception a few times, but otherwise they were fine. Just FYI. Thanks to all who responded.
