1st Time Visiting Aruba

We will be in Aruba from 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. on April 11, 2014. It will be our 1st visit, so I want to be able to see the most for our money. We are cruising with Carnival, but I usually book excursions from outside vendors. What are the best things to see in Aruba? It will be myself (52), my husband (47) and my mother (73).

Since we have such a long day in Aruba, I am certain we will get off the boat early to do an excursion or tour, return to ship in the afternoon to clean up, and then head back out in the evening. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
