cruzn buckeye Posted September 6, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2013 My milestone reward letter says it must be applied 30 days prior to sailing. Has anyone called for their milestone credit closer to sail day... or past that 30 day deadline?

icruz Posted September 7, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 7, 2013 What is a milestone reward? We turned plat 3 cruises ago and never heard of it:confused: Milestone has nothing to do with your VIFP status...you will receive an award (25% after your 25th cruise, 50% after your 50th cruise, etc.)...and the award is based on the cabin only cost, and is applied as an OBC

cruzn buckeye Posted September 7, 2013 Author #7 Share Posted September 7, 2013 We asked for ours 2 weeks before our Hawaii cruise, the girl was hopeful it would go through and it did. Did you contact the milestone desk or did you do it just by calling the 800 line? thanks
cruzn buckeye Posted September 7, 2013 Author #8 Share Posted September 7, 2013 There are three people in my cabin. So you have the first and second person rate, and then the third person rate which is lower. I am the first person. Will my credit be based on my first person rate... or will they do an average rate and base it on that?

The credit will be based on what your fare is. The credit will not show on your docs until two days before your cruise.

okgirl Posted September 8, 2013 #12 Share Posted September 8, 2013 Thank you, they are not open today, so i will do it tomorrow. I called the milestone desk about 45 days prior to sailing, but the credit never got applied and even though I had my milestone letter I couldn't get the ship to apply the credit, they said that I would have to use it at a later time. Stay on top of it as there is a time limit before the credit expires, I think three years, (maybe two). When I applied for mine, they told me that the credit would show up on the docs two days before sailing. When it didn't, I called them and they took care of it immediately.. So the moral of the story is, check two days prior to sailing, if not there, call!! Edited to add, BTW, I never even received a Milestone Letter, so I wonder how many people get robbed (wanted to say something else),of their credit because they never knew they had one coming!!
