Magic porthole cabins

Any porthole cabin that is a category PT, also referred to simply as "Porthole" on the Carnival booking engine, will have 2 standard beds that can be pushed together. If it is a category 1A, or "Upper/Lower (with portholes), then it will have one standard bed plus either an upper or a sofabed, and the beds cannot be put together. For anyone else reading, not all category 1A rooms have portholes, and not all porthole rooms are category 1A (or PT, for that matter).

Magic's category PT rooms are 1214, 1216, 1217, 1219, 2220, & 2221. They tend to sell out very fast.

We had the second, third and fourth cabins port side. Do not remember their numbers.

The second had an upper and lower plus a couch. Third and fourth were regular two beds with the fourth also had an upper as it was a room for three.

Loved them

We had two porthole rooms on the Magic in December. They were great, lots of room and the window ledge is the perfect for extra storage. Loved the natural light, it's like having an outside cabin with an interior price. In the first room we had the beds pushed together for DH and I. The other room the beds stayed separated for 2 DDs.

These cabins are perfect for my sister and I. We book the 1A's that have 2 portholes, one twin and one convertable sofa. So much floor space and love the daylight.

We book on deck 2, because the atrium elevators don't go down to deck 1, so it's a lot faster to get up to the Lido with 4 more elevators to choose from.
